The first step we ask you to take, is to visit our Car Audio Advice & Education section, or our Home Audio Advice & Education section. There you will find everything from the definitions of audio terms, to complete explanations (with diagrams) of exactly how speakers work. If you cannot find what you are looking for in these sections, or if you have a question that requires a specific answer tailored precisely to your particular needs, we suggest you contact a competent local repair service or installation specialist.

Our technical staff is headed up by Jim Peterson, a member of the International Society of Audio Consultants. He has over a quarter century of hands-on experience in audio sales, and repair, and has been highly rated as an expert in Consumer Electronics at various Q&A sites on the Web. Jim is the author of our Car Audio Advice & Education section, our Home Audio Advice & Education section, and our Audio Glossary, which provide comprehensive information and education on all manner of electronic subjects.

Unfortunately, due to the current economic downturn and an ever-expanding volume of personal questions being submitted, Jim has been forced to suspend his award-winning personal Q& A service for the time being.
